 Adventures of a career diplomat 2009-05-13 This is an excellent read if you are interested in the life adventures of a career diplomat of the British Colonial and then Foreign Office. Lots of "inside stories" related to politics and government of varied countries that Posnett was involved with. He was considered the expert in decolonization, a policy pursued over many years by Great Britain, with the intent of shedding the burden of a huge British empire. What could have been a dry topic is instead a lively very readable life story. | ||
